Edgewood Pediatrics strongly recommends on-time routine immunization of all children and adolescents according to the Recommended Immunization Schedules for Children and Adolescents.

Your child receives two vaccines at each visit from 2 months through 18 months old. Then boosters at 4 & 5 years old, 11 years old and 16 years old.

At Edgewood, we follow a similar schedule to the standard Bermuda and CDC schedules:

2 months: DTaP-IPV-Hib (Infanrix), PCV-13 (Prevnar), Rotavirus (Rotarix)

4 months: DTaP-IPV-Hib (Infanrix), PCV-13 (Prevnar), Rotavirus (Rotarix)

6 months: DTaP-IPV-Hib (Infanrix), PCV-13 (Prevnar), and flu shot during flu season

8 months: Hep B

9 months: Hep B

12 months: PCV13 (Prevnar)

15 months: MMR and Hep B

18 months: DTaP-IPV-Hib (Infanrix) and chicken pox/varicella (Varivax)

4-5 year old: chicken pox/varicella (Varivax) dose 2 of 2

5-6 year old: MMR dose 2 of 2 and Dtap-IPV (Quadracel) booster

11-14 year old*: Tdap and HPV9** (Gardasil9)2 doses, 6 months or more apart

*Menveo (Meningitis ACWY) vaccine if needed for activities abroad such as boarding school, overseas camp, or specific travel.

**If your child starts the HPV vaccine series after 15 years old, they will receive 3 doses per the adult recommendations.

16-18 years old: Menveo (Meningitis ACWY) vaccine for all

21+ years old: Tdap (tetanus) booster 10 years from last

Flu shots are available seasonally, October through March.

Travel vaccines such as Hepatitis A and typhoid are available with a prescription from your Edgewood doctor at the Bda Government Travel Clinic: 278-6460 or 278-6461
