We know kids don’t get sick on a schedule. We offer after-hours urgent phone advice with Dr. Kenny or Dr. Woodward for medical concerns that can’t wait until the next business day.

Edgewood Reads

Edgewood is proud of its program Edgewood Reads, an initiative that integrates books into well-child visits and promotes early literacy. Through this program, children receive an age-appropriate book at each developmental checkup from six months to five years of age, and parents receive guidance and resources on fostering a reading habit at home. Free Prenatal Classes

Edgewood offers free prenatal classes for expectant parents. This 45-minute course will provide expecting parents with essential knowledge, including:
  • Things we wish all families knew in the first month of a baby’s life
  • What you need to safely take a baby home from the hospital
  • Breastfeeding basics and necessary supplies
  • What to expect in the hospital
  • Guidance on the first pediatric visits after leaving the hospital

Breastfeeding

Edgewood Pediatric Services is committed to supporting breastfeeding mothers and their babies. We offer mothers a quiet room for breastfeeding in our office while awaiting appointments. Also, if you’re in town and need a comfortable place to nurse or feed your baby, you are welcome to walk in anytime.
